Is Homestay only for students?
No, anyone requiring a temporary stay also choose Homestay as their preferred means of accommodation. Homestay provides an excellent way to get better acclimatized to a new cultural environment.

I am looking for homestay. How can Homestay Connection help me?
We have thousands of families in the Canada so for sure we will find a suitable
host family for you. You only need to fill out the registration form and then you
will start receiving emails from our host families interested to host you.
You are also welcome to search for homestays and submit your selection.

I found a host family. What do I do next?
Once we confirm that the host family you prefer is available, you will pay a one time placement fee to hold the reservation. Your placement fee guarantees you a satisfactory homestay, so if you are not happy with your choice, simply contact Homestay Connection within 7 days of arrival and we will find you another homestay at NO additional cost.

Is Homestay Connection a homestay agency? Can you find my host family for me?
Yes, Homestay Connection will work as a Homestay Agent and assist you in finding you an appropriated host family.

When will you provide me with the address of my family?
Once Homestay Connection have received payment for the placement fee, we will then send you a on-line homestay profile with all the detailed information about your host family and your invoice.

What if I don't feel comfortable with my host family?
If you contact Homestay Connection within 7 days of arrival and let us know that you are not happy with your host family, we will find you another homestay at NO additional cost. There is a limit of one free homestay change.

I have changed my mind, I found another accommodation.
You are free in deciding the best accommodation for you but please send us an email and allow 15 days advance notice for your host family. Keep in mind that homestay fees are not refundable.

Can I request a Airport Pickup Service?

You will pay Homestay Connection by international money order or by money transfer. Click here for further information.

What if I want to stay longer in my homestay than I reserved on my application?
Write an email to Homestay Connection if you want to extend your stay. If the room is still available, Homestay Connection will confirm your extension by email at no charge. If the room is already booked, Homestay Connection can arrange a new homestay option.

How Do I become a host family?
Fill out our on-line application form and upload four pictures of your Homestay. A $75 yearly maitenance fee will apply ONLY if Homestay Connection provide you with students.

Does Homestay Connection share my personal information?
No. The host profile shows homestay description only, all contact details are private and confidential and disclosed only after you have agreed to host a specific student.

How do I select a student from the student list?
After your homestay profile is approved, Login as a Member. You can then select students that you are interested to host by clicking on the email icon next to the students’ name from our Student List.

When will I receive the first payment for my new student?
Payments are usually issued in the second week of the student’s date of arrival however, occasionally, delays may occur given late payment received from our partners.

How do I register to the Homestay Connection Network?

Can Homestay Connection perform my homestay placements?
Yes. You may choose to user our company as your Homestay Backoffice.
You will have the comfort of knowing that you have a group of homestay coordinators working for you
and that you will have all the necessary on-line information to support your business without loosing
focus on your core business. A per homestay basis fee will apply.

Can I manage my own homestay database?
Yes. You can also choose our Self-Service plan and use Homestay Connection website as your own Homestay
Management System to manage your list of host families and students. An yearly fee may apply.

How do I see my billing information?
All your billing information will be sent to you on a monthly basis in a pdf report format. Homestay Connection
